In a master metered park, the park owner holds one utility meter and bills residents through submeters. In a directly metered park, each home has its own utility account. Which one applies to you determines how your installation works.
Does California law protect my right to install solar?
Yes. The 1978 Solar Rights Act protects the general right to install solar in California, and Senate Bill 1190 specifically protects mobile home residents in directly metered parks from being blocked or unfairly restricted by park management.
